A message from the Vice-Chancellor

Dear Applicant

Thank you for expressing an interest in the role of Chief Information Officer at the University of Bedfordshire.  If you are successful you will be joining a university in a strong position, at a successful time when the global reputation of the University is growing. There has been large scale investment in the University, especially in our estates, and our IT is a critical element to our growth, success and service.

This is a new role that the University has identified as critical to the growth and needs of the organisation. With responsibility for implementing a new IT strategy, supporting the internal functions of the University and our key customers, our students, this role requires a highly competent leader, able to engage with a variety of customers within the University as well as our external customers and stakeholders.

As this is a new post, the successful candidate will be able to shape and drive the IT agenda in line with the University's overall strategic aims and objectives. With a successful and skilled team working with you this is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to lead a successful corporate function in a large, diverse and complex institution such as the University of Bedfordshire.

If you are excited by the opportunities and challenges that this role presents, and are keen to play a leading role in shaping the future success of the University of Bedfordshire, then we look forward to hearing from you. You can speak to our advising consultants at Veredus: Paul Aristides on 020 7932 4240 or Ed Pritchard on 020 7932 4279.

Yours faithfully

Professor Les Ebdon CBE
Vice-Chancellor
